This morning I test drove a Mercedes 300d in Torrance. The owner is German and I had to test drive it before the Germany vs. Italy World Cup game. It only has 157k miles on it and it drives really well. Even the vintage 1980 analog clock still works. He's only asking $1000 for it, which is a great price. I told him that I would buy it and I'd just need a week to arrange payment. He promised to hold the car for me, and since it hasn't been advertised, I don't have to worry about someone else buying it. The planets must be even more in alignment now. With everything falling into place so quickly, I don't feel I have the right to chicken out now. I will soon be driving a veg car.
