I've been reading a lot of information about alternative fuel cars over the last few months and I'm intrigued with the possibility of running a car on vegetable oil. See the LINKS page for some of my favorite sites.

Since I'm not sure if I want to give up my Xterra, I decide to approach this as an experiment. I'll get a veg oil car and drive it for 12 months to see how I like it and how much work is involved in gathering and filtering the oil. I'll also track the costs to determine my break even point.
